Post 1

Well, I arrived safe and well. The journey from Huddersfield didn't quite go to plan thanks to a cancelled train right at the very start. Great. Not only did I have to go via Leeds to Peterborough instead of Wakefield, I'd also arrive later than planned in Norwich. And it's raining. Wonderful.

I finally get to Peterborough (an hour or so later than planned), to find that the train to Norwich is delayed. And it's still raining. Thinking about it, stood on Platform 4 (and wishing it was 9 and 3/4) almost every journey to and from Peterborough is delayed or cancelled. I must be cursed...

At last the train arrives, and as usual, is packed until we get to Ely. Nice. Still, I have stitching and colouring books to entertain me... not to mention a load of Toni-friendly brownies! Yum!

Yeah... so what have I been up to since I arrived? Not much, really. Just catching up with old friends and getting lost around a town I lived in for over 4 years. Ha! I'm slowly remembering my way around. I'm missing the hills and Huddersfield already and really, I cannot wait to head back up again!

I went to my first church service in the Community Centre. Due to ever-increasing numbers at MWC (that's Meadow Way Chapel!) and running out of space, the church was moved on a Sunday morning to the Community Centre in February 2008. Well, it was quite an experience! There are even more people I don't know/have yet to get to know...! I barely knew everybody last time! It was good to see some old faces and loads more new ones!

I'll write more when I have more to tell...!

Missing you all!

Look after each other, please and God bless every one of you!

Love and chocolate cornflake cakes,
Toni xxx
