Post 3...

Monday...

The day was a bit of a mixture in terms of events.  It began with me being woken up by the sound of Piper, Gemma's 3 year old daughter, singing and telling us/herself that she'd found it.  Quite what she'd found, nobody knows.  Piper knows, though.

After Piper had her breakfast - a banana, a bowl of strawberries and a yogurt, yummy! - I was asked in the most syrupy-sweet way that only children can do, to sit on the floor and play Zoo with some slightly over-sized Lego bricks... It was pretty good fun, actually!  After all that fun, Piper had her mid-morning sleep and Gemma went back to bed, too, so I sat in the living room with Ruby (Gemma's cat) and sewed for about an hour.  Piper woke up again around lunchtime and there was cheese on toast with Hula Hoops for all!  Yay!  Once fed and watered, all three of us went into the city.. well, to Anglia Square, anyway, and traipsed around QD and the little charity shop.  Fun!

When we got back to Gemma's, Piper had her tea, played some more and then went to bed.  After Piper went to bed, Gem and I cooked our tea and watched pants "reality" tv - something about weddings and which one was the best of the four shown.  The prize was a honeymoon.  Nice.  This started a lengthy discussion about weddings - the good, the bad and the hideous.  Oh, there were some tales.  Sadly for some and lucky for us, there was photographic evidence!  We then got talking about what we'd like on our wedding days, should we be lucky enough to have them..  Again, there were some strange ideas.  I kind of like the idea of a themed wedding - maybe Rocky Horror, just for the giggles!  You can just imagine, though, looking back at the photographs and wondering what on earth you were thinking!  Maybe not, eh?

Then we got to talking about the music and the reception and honeymoons.  Both of us agreed on a karaoke machine at the reception.  How much fun would that be?!  Brilliant!  And, of course, there has to be that one child who's been given too much cola, and then spends the rest of the evening running around and chasing the disco lights...  and then we remembered there's something a little bit missing.

Oh well, we can dream, right?
