Today, I move out of Becky's and into Gemma's for a week... before heading back to Becky's for about 6 weeks. To kill time before I head over to Gemma's, I'm in the city library and I'm close to either being arrested for murder, disturbing the peace or, indeed, I may find myself locked in a padded cell. I shall explain...
Sitting in the "Millennium Library" - also known as The Forum in Norwich (in which you'll find all sorts of things, and a diiferent display every week/month), on an uncharacteristically and unexpectedly warm day. I find myself wondering what on Earth happened, and was I asleep/on another planet at the time?
No longer are libraries the silent sanctuaries they used to be, filled with knowledge and curiosities inside the pages of many a book. Of course, with it being a library, there are books. Not a great deal of them available on a Sunday, but they are on the shelves, nonetheless. Now, look around any modern city/town library and I'm willing to bet you'll find at some of these annoyances...
- The group of youths flocked around the computer hubs and giggling and/or swearing.
- A family with a screaming child/children.
- A group of teenage tourists who insist on shouting instead of talking, or chasing each other around the shelves.
- The afore-mentioned tourists yelling into mobile phones.
- A large group of youths playing RPG card games and yelling and running around hugging each other.
Right now, I'm surrounded by them all and I'm ever so close to ripping their eyes out or their heads off. Thankfully for them (and for me) I'm forever reminded to be patient and kind, forgiving and gentle.
Instead, I wish it could go back to how it used to be. Stern-looking, bespectacled librarians and big signs requesting silence.

I think you should kill them :P xxxx
